A couple of months ago my A/V inputs on my TV went wonky. Trying to run my dvd player or videogame system through the RCA inputs on the TV result in the picture being all gray and distorted.

The set is maybe 2 years old tops. Here is my model. Has anyone ever had this problem? I am wondering if its worth trying to get fixed or not. I've tried googling for information but I can't find anything related to A/V inputs going bad.

Oh, a genuine magnetbox eh?

If I had to guess, I would say that the solder joints have cracked. If you wiggle the connectors does the picture change?

I would just plug it into one of the other available Composite Inputs you have. (According to the specs in that link you posted, you have Composite Inputs on the Side and Rear)

However, if its already taken up you have 2 choices.

An RF Modulator Signal Converter (you hook it into your RF Coaxial since it works fine, and it gives you a set of Composite jacks)

Or, a Composite Switch Box (if I have to explain this I may smack you )
