We just came back from an Alaskan cruise during which we snapped about 480 pictures. We looked through them all last night and here are two that I liked for one reason or another. The first one is the Coast Guard escorting our vessel from Seattle. The second is a bridge in the Japanese Garden in Butchard Gardens in Victoria. So yeah, neither are actually from Alaska.

I will get around to putting up all the Alaskan pictures up at some point.

These pictures (above) have been resized from 3072x2048 to 800x533.

Victoria is such a beautiful city. Did you get to see the BC Legislature buildings at night?

No, we didn't see much of Victoria. It was a short port and we were there on Canada Day. The streets were packed with drunken fools, eh!

The cruise was great. We had a lot of fun. Didn't get as plastered as I thought we would. I think that's because of the time difference, the early starts and all the fresh air. We got two free bottles of champagne (polished off very quickly) and 3 complimentary 1l bottles of booze (we got to choose from a list). We never opened the booze though. We took 1.5l of rum with us and got through about quarter of that. The excursions were really good, there are a ton to choose from. We went on Norwegian Cruise Lines - the Norwegian Star, and got ourselves an Owners Suite. As good as everything is, the live entertainment was a litte bit crappy IMO. They have an act called Cirque Pacific which I think is supposed to be similar to Cirque do Soleil (I can't be bothered spell checking that but I think it's close) and it fell way short. I don't know if you have seen Cirque de Soleil but if you haven't, you should, it's amazing and good, clean fun.

We saw Cirque de Soleil a couple years ago in Calgary and enjoyed it a lot. I would like to see one of the other shows one day. Maybe if we ever get to Vegas we'll catch it there.

O is very good (if that is what is still playing in Vegas at the Bellagio). Actually, they are all very good.
