A few weeks ago it rained over night and froze leaving ice everywhere. Normally I leave before Steph and would have salted our walk before she left for work. She left before me that day and on her way to the garage (which is less than 8' from the back door) she slipped falling backwards and hit the back of her head on the step to the house splitting it open. I saw her right after it happened brushing dirt off her arm and asked what happened. She told me what she did and said she thought she was ok and planned on going to work until I pointed out the blood running down the back of her neck. I took her to the emergency room where they put 7 staples in her head and gave her antibiotics to prevent infection. Her arm was pretty sore too. She took two days off work but seemed to be ok after the weekend passed. I guess she is lucky that it was not worse. They took the staples out a week later and said it healed well and she feels fine now.
