I kept thinking that looks like Access and how you tie the Form designer with VB for Applications, turns out the new forms designer in access (office 12/vista) generates vb.net/c#

and you get to use msdev

Mh, yea. Data binding "doesn't work." Altho it's always tempting to try

But, if you like Ruby, maybe you'd like Python. There are Gtk and Qt bindings for desktop development, and the Zope project for web stuff.
