In terms of security, anyway. Actually, firefox is less secure.

To Firefox's credit, the Mozilla Foundation is pretty quick about releasing patches, quicker than MS. I still use Firefox, I'm a big fan. It just goes to show that when you develop large pieces of software, it becomes harder and harder to make it secure. And that becoming a popular choice does in itself lend your software to more attacks and security scrutiny.

the turnaround time is a great counterpoint to the criticism, but the far more important aspect, is that the severity of the vulnerabilities make a huge difference on the overall impact of their presence. Honestly, how many arbitrary access bugs has each had? That's where the important comparison is.

me, I still use the mozilla suite. I've just never liked firefox's interface (too IE-like, and missing a lot of my frequently used keyboard shortcuts)

Firefox is okay, I've been using it for about a year now. I think I'm going to go back to Opera though.

I've been using Opera for a couple of years now,. Every now and then , it will have a glitch and I'll have to use IE to view a particular web-page, or use a plug-in, but as soon as I'm done, I'm quickly back in to Opera. Miles ahead of IE.

Opera 8.5 was just released recently, btw
