Nice picks

That park looks like a Golf Course. . . oh wait. .

Thanks guys.

I'm no photoXanropher but I try! =)

Riv:

It's a small island in the straits of Mackinac, which is where the upper and lower Michigan pennisula's meet. You can see the Mackinac bridge in the background of the photo titled Mackinac Park.

Map: http://maps.yahoo.com/maps.py?&addr=&csz=Mackinac+Island,MI

History: http://www.mackinac.com/content/general/history.html

Fess: Arch rock is the spot where tourists take their pictures in front of. It's very high above sea-level.

After 3 days on the Island we went to see Steph's parents and do some swimming/boating, etc, at Sutton's Bay (where they are living) and then Leland (where they are building a house) which is just North-West of Traverse City.

The water is totally clear at the beaches to the point you can see the bottom of the lake even in 6' deep water. The sand is white too. That is true not only that area but in many parts of Michigan especally the North West part of the state (Lake Michigan).
