Sad to see that the guy the cops shot to death yesterday is unrelated to the bombings. It's a tragedy really and of course the fact that an innocent guy is dead is of primary importance but the knock-on affect is that the police will maybe receive more flak for excessive force. The UK cops are already under-armed when compared to other countries. Shooting an innocent man will only give the anti-gun brigade more ammunition and more cause to say that guns should not be used. I think in these trying times concessions have to be made and one of those is allowing the cops to carry arms (other than the two attached to their shoulders).

Why don't all governments just run a background check to see who actually has terrorist ties and who doesn't and put a chip that can be scanned in their body so we can easily tell the diference between the good people and the evil people? I think that would stop a lot of this crap. It would also make ID theft virtuely impossible.

Maybe we could do it right this time around. We could leave the genocide part out. Maybe just put all the terrorist types away where we don't ever have to see them. They could be put to work doing something productive for society or something. Just a thought.
