I get Sunon fans cheap from work. And Xan, if you had bothered to remember my rants about when I worked at radioshack, you probably wouldn't be out 17.99. -------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

I hate radioshack.Last time I went there was around christmas. Actually, it was on christmas and it was the only electronics store that was open. I was looking for a stereo eighth inch to rca adapter to plug my gamecube in through my sound card to play on my computer with the video going through my tv tuner card. Pretty simply order. Took about 6 'guesses' from the employee to find what I wanted and I didn't realize until I got home and plugged it in that it wasn't a stereo to RCA but rather a mono eighth splitter to RCA adapters. And to top it off, the idiot tried to sell me a cell phone at checkout. Never again. -------------------- signature

I was never that inept when I worked at the shack. Heh, I new what I was doing.fucking noob. Reminds me of this thing that happened to a friend of mine. She went to best buy to get Unreal Tournament 2004. She wanted the DVD Edition, but all they had was the CD-Rom one. The rep actually TOLD her that the DVD edition wouldn't work in her computer. -------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

Imagine how dumb the rep would have to be to think that a computer game was released on DVD, but couldn't work on a computer with a DVD. I bet it was a miscommunication or misunderstanding between your friend and the rep rather than the rep being mentally challenged. Afterall, it's Best Buy not Radioshack.I've learned not to walk into electronics stores without knowing exactly what I need. That way I don't have to deal with the over-attentive know-nothings at Radio$hack or Best Buy for that matter. Their prices do suck, though. I compared an 1/8th inch stereo to RCA Y adapter I bought a week ago to one I bought about 5 years ago. The older one is more hefty, sturdy, and working well. The new one is much more cheaply made, and cost $7 which is almost twice what I paid for the older one. It now makes sense to me why Radio$hack is disappearing in this area store by store. Their prices are unjustified, and people will go to one of the superstores to get their stuff for less $. -------------------- Verdammt durch das Fleisch. Gerettet durch das Blut.

RadioShack Canada was bought out from InterTAN Corp by Circuit City. It's now called, The Source, and believe it or not, the quality of products is getting better. I'll say this much though, the Radioshack Alkaline Batteries have been the best value going I've ever found anywhere. I hope the new lines continue that.-------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.
