So, MJ is found innocent. Regardless of whether it is true or not...since the WHOLE case was heresay and circumstantial (there was no physical evidence) should not the family now, given the history of the parents, have the onus placed on them to prove they did not falsely accuse Jackson in order to justify a civil suit after criminal conviction and thus creating a shady way to extort money?!I admit, Jackson is a freak. But that family is a bunch of losers and were obviously opportunists. Granted, I do not know all the facts and I will not say Jackson is guilty or innocent, but as for the law he is innocent. But these "victims" have always lacked any sort of credibility. There must be something done to avoid wasting tax-dollars. Regardless of WHOSE tax dollars they were, it still angers me that someones tax dollars were wasted in an attempt to facilitate a quick rich scheme. --------------------

I say give the profits back to the taxpayers from the inevitable made for tv movie.-------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

it was a criminal trial. The plaintiff was the state. I'm pretty sure they can't recoup costs from themselves. Hopefully Sneddon will be run out of town. He's an idiot. A friend of mine, 'Cowboy Mike,' as most of us call him, is a member of the ROTC. He'll be a commissioned officer and shipping off to Iraq within 2 or 3 months of getting his college degree. He and his roommate got into an argument over something or other -- I never did hear that part -- but what his roommate told him at the end was "I hope you die in Iraq." Cowboy Mike's response? He walked over to the guy and gave him a hug and told he loves him, too. Just to be a smartass. I mean, he's a great guy. Always smiling and always cracking wise remarks. He's everybody's friend and he's even told me his drill sargeant gave up on removing the smile after a couple of days. Anyway, you would think it would end there. A smartass remark and simply moving on. But nope. Not in Santa Barbara county. The roommate called the police and had Mike arrested for battery. And as it turns out, the roommate is of Arab descent. So the DA decided to prosecute as a hate crime. A *HUG*. As a HATE CRIME. It looks to me like it's little more than an attempt to drag a good man's reputation through the soil because of his occupation and politics. But I honestly have nothing to back that belief up, other than watching the foaming-at-the-mouth fanaticism for liberalism that runs through the south side of SB County. -------------------- signature

I'm left leaning willy, and I find that absolutely ridiculous. That DA is as spineless as a jellyfish. Bet you he has problems getting it up, and his doctor won't give him that viagra prescription.-------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.
