OK, so here goes:Arrival to New York: friday the 17th around midday. We'll probably settle in and see what the area nearby the hotel looks like, and go out for some drinks somewhere. Saturday the 18th we were planning to go to Atlantic City to have a look at the casinos there. That should take the entire day. Maybe out for more drinks that night. Sunday the 19th we'll have a late lunch with James, who is a friend of my buddy who's joining along for the trip. My buddy is leaving the same day tho, so sunday evening onwards I'm solo. Monday 20th, no plans. Tuesday 21st, buddy from San Fran is coming to NY. Probably meeting him at some point in the afternoon/evening, and perhaps also another old buddy coming in from Boston. Loud discussion partly in Finnish will ensue. Wednesday 22nd, no plans. Possibly see the same guy again, he says he's likely to stay for a couple of days. Thursday 23rd, no plans. Checkout from hotel and flight leaves at 9pm which I believe is local time. So, feel free to drop in at any time 19th would probably be perfect, since I'll be alone again in the evening, and no plans for monday except to check out the town. Also, I'm moving to a new hotel on the 19th, since my buddy is leaving. However, even the new hotel, which is significantly cheaper than the first one, says "double room" in the booking, so I might even be able to offer you accommodation, though I dunno what the hotel has to say about that. I'll try to SMS you now, if I can find that message with your number somewhere... -------------------- quote: Originally posted by FS: Wow, I can't believe I'm agreeing with FS on this one

BTW Scoob, I had some trouble getting a hotel in NY that week, since there's a trade fair or something like that.Of course my hotel requirements started with no shared baths, so I dunno if you're that picky... Also I don't know how many hotels my agent didn't have listed, so there's gotta be SOME vacancies somewhere, I can't believe that every hotel in the city would be booked full. But anyway, I should have extra space for one person, if the hotel doesn't mind. -------------------- quote: Originally posted by FS: Wow, I can't believe I'm agreeing with FS on this one

hey!the hotel is Wolcott, www.wolcott.com I still need to check about booking you in there, and also the reservation says double room rather than twin room. I suppose that means it's a single big bed. So, I'll also need to check if they have a twin room available or can otherwise sort that out. I'll be in New York tomorrow so I'll just phone em up from my first hotel. Also the hotel is 142 euros per night on average. You gonna chip in there a bit? I could phone you tomorrow when I can use the hotel phone and not pay myself sillyn trasfering a New York - Detroit phonecall via Finland... -------------------- quote: Originally posted by FS: Wow, I can't believe I'm agreeing with FS on this one
