Right now I have three computers turned on - my new tablet (idling), my jukebox (playing net radio, getting ready to show me movies) and my desktop (that I'm writing this on, and soon running stress tests again). In addition I've got my old laptop plus my old home server (dual Celeron 366 ) and another old Athlon 1.4 Ghz which are all usable if you add the right components. The laptop doesn't need anything, but I need to clean it up and hand it down the ladder So, that's a total of six computers in my apartment right now, all more or less ready to run. Now on my DESK I only have a single screen, a single mouse and a single keyboard. My monitor has two inputs, so I can easily switch between desktop and jukebox. The jukebox has no keyboard connected, but on my desk is a tiny touchpad I use for playing my media. -------------------- quote: Originally posted by FS: Wow, I can't believe I'm agreeing with FS on this one

3.2E, Asus P4C800, 2GB OZC Platinum D.C. 400, 4 Raptors in RAID 5, Promise SX150 SX-4M SATA RAID w/256MB Cache, 80GB Seagate boot, Server 2003 (PDC/RIS/TS)2.8E, Asus P4C800, 2GB Kingston, 200GB WD SATA (www/ftp) 3.4E, Intel 915PBL, 1GB Kingston, ATi X700, 200GB (tech machine) Celeron 2.8, 512MB RAM, Asus P4SP-MX, 20GB(point of sale) Dell Inspiron 8500 ...I am doing the backend infrastructure for our corporate network. There is 1 domain, 3 subnets and an ACL that has network chatter to ZERO and any machine can download off the net at blistering speeds even when RIS is spitting out multiple images at the same time. It will be awfully quiet when all this is no longer in my kitchen.

Just had to say I added this to my desk this afternoon: http://www.office.xerox.com/cgi-bin/detail.pl?sku=8400/DP Couldn't go wrong with a $990CDN price (it retails for $2250CDN) Now to try for my $625 rebate Xerox is offering haha After 1 afternoon I am very much impressed. 6 seconds first page out (color no less!) and 24ppm in b/w & color).
