I just got the latest Tivo upgrade because a friend told me about it. He also said that I could rip the .tivo files to mpg2 files but I've not been able to do that yet. I tried TMPGEnc Express 3 but that produced a video image that was hlaf green! I looked around the usual places such as Google, videohelp.com and afterdawn.com but I didn't really find what I was looking for. I know you can use something called TyTool but that requires hacking the Tivo box and while that doesn't scare me, my wife does so if I fuck anything up I would have to deal with that little situation. I think that hacking the Tivo box is the thing to do and maybe I will do that if / when I buy an additional box.Anyway, if you know how to take a .tivo file and produce a .mpg file then can you let me know how? I don't even want to do anything that is (very) illegal. I just have a 2min clip from right before the Sox vs. Yankess series that I want to put up on the web so my parents can see it. I don't want to get Sonic's MyDVD software, burn a whole DVD for 2mins of video then send it across to Scotland. That seems a little excessive to me. Cheers, Max -------------------- Miss you guys.
