That first statement was just unwise to print on the forms. People hate paying taxes. An official tax document stating that they will tax it if they can would probably piss a lot of people off, especially if they feel they are being over-taxed. Who doesn't?

The second statement is just worthless, and is going to piss off business owners who are having problems making things work in their business. The statement can also come off as a complaint by money grubbing tax collectors that they can't collect their cut in taxes if you don't make profit. This person was very misguided... probably stupid.

I think it was hilarious. You're not getting out of taxes, you might as well just laugh at it.

No, I got a good idea, protest it. Protest everything, right? I'm sure those jokes infringed on someone's rights, and crying about them will definitely be worthwhile and fix something.

I have no doubt that the person repsonsible for the the forms thought it was funny. There were probably some who filled them out and thought the statements were funny. Unfortunately, not everyone shares the same sense of humor, and when it comes to governments collecting taxes, it's probably a whole lot easier for wealthy folks to laugh than it is for the majority that financially just get by. Yeah. I doubt a lot of those people found the statements very funny, but whatever...
