Anyone been involved with this? One of my really good friends, who I had alot of respect for up until recently has started with it. He is calling me constantly - I already sat through a meeting with his sponsor and I was not impressed at all. Now he is being very very demanding when he calls. "Let's schedule our next meeting now. We need to get the ball rolling on this." They want like $120 to become an IBO - which means you have the right to try to sell overpriced low quality products from quixtar.com to your family and friends. I wish he would stop bothering me - I incorporated a business already and I think it has way more potential than this pyramid scam that only makes the rich people at the top richer...He never calls about anything personal anymore, just to hang out or something. -------------------- I am.

That's exactly the feeling I got - Cult. They all rant and rave about these huge seminars with motivational speakers and stuff. Sounds almost like brainwashing to me. "For me, however, the greatest pleasure comes not from the endless acquisition of material things but from creating wealth and giving it away," he wrote in An Enterprising Life. "The task of every person on earth is to use everything he is given, every ability he has, to the ultimate glory of God." - Van Andel This guy is a freaking saint! -------------------- I am.

I've been given the gift of being good in bed, so should I go out and have sex with a lot of women? -------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

- Seeing how I'm sitting here, approximately 3 miles from Amway's (now known as "Alticor Inc." cuz it doesn't rhyme with "Scam-way") Headquarters, I find your rant amusing. Due to proximity, practically everyone here has been approached by one of Scam-way's minions. "How to sell over-priced soap to your relatives".I once heard a federal prosecutor on a radio talk show that Amway is often used as a teaching example of a company perched on the fine line between legal direct marketing and an illegal pyramid marketing ("chain letter") organization. One thing few criticize, however, are the philantropic activities of the Van Andels and the De Vos families. One may have issues with how the money is obtained but quite a bit, in fact a staggering amount ends up invested back into the community.
