I think awhile back a bar in town was accepting Canadian Tire money at face value in lieu of real cash for a Wednesday night Happy Hour. But for all the non-Canadians here, we should let them know that the other name for Cdn Tire is Crappy Tire because a lot of the stuff they sell is just shoddy merchandise. If you look in the "Old Sayings" manual under "You get what you pay for" Crappy Tire is listed as the first example. I still shop there a lot because the closest one is very convenient to go to but I'm very selective as to what I'll buy there. As my friend's dad calls itUkranian Tire. Personally, I think it's an insult to Ukranians everywhere to call it that. They make WAY better stuff in the Ukraine.
