Well, i am currently unemployed, got severance, going to Mexico on Saturday, selling off my computer (must do the annual upgrades...if I can get what i am asking...not bad price considering what some systems go for around here), going to pick up my copy of NFS Underground 2 from Zippy, going to play some NFS on the big screen TV, crack a beer, play some games, maybe phone the GF but not before more beer...

Oh, and I just found out someone my GF knows owns an auto-detailing business and he will give me "a mirror finish for $60" Kinda sucks losin' the job around Christmas time though, but I am in good shape (for the first time ever I have a "contingency fund" )

I've lost 2 computers to irreparable hardware failure, and I don't have the money to replace them (no video game escapism). I'm currently living off of odd jobs and the kindness of others (no contigency fund). The IT job market here is worse than ever, and I've burned my bridges with almost all of the recruiters in this area. I may have to get a McJob, but I don't know if I'm emotionally prepared for the onslaugh of depression I anticipate from flipping burgers or some equivalent thereof (i've always been in IT). On the upside, I have my health..lol. I think I'll go cry now.

My business is doing pretty good. We just recently moved our second agency into new office space that we will one day own. No more leasing at either location now. Only a few more months until the new yellow page ad comes out with the correct address, heh, that will sure be nice.

Steph works for very large insurance company but she hates it for the most part although it's great money and benfits. She hates talking to the agents more than the customers for some reason.

They are a fortune 500 company with over 2,000 employees at the location she is at. Great modern building, etc.

They have locations in several states.

lol cac, that's because some of the agents(but not me of course ) can be real assholes to the CSRs. They will argue more than the customers do in regards to coverages and benefits because they know what to argue about.

But do mention to Steph that the agent has it rough at times too because they are the middle man.

Both of my offices combined have a total of about 2,000 clients and some of them can get downright ornery when their 95 Olds, Honda, Chevy whatever gets totaled and they owe more on it at the bank than the car itself is worth. They tend to take it out on me for some reason, heh.

Computer Tech, Swim Coach, possibly a student next year, I haven't really decided, but I'm leaning towards it, more trying to figure out what I want to do. I've narrowed it down to Anthropological Archaeology, Computer Engineering, Astronomy, or possibly Atmospheric Science (no that's NOT meterology I have no ambitions to be a TV weather man), Chemistry, or Psychology, but not pop psychology, I don't want to be diagnosing the emotional problems of soda.

Other than that, not much.

I went to Stockholm last weekend to attend the first CruxCon, a 2 day brainstorming session for the core developers of CRUX Linux. We were pretty productive, and cut loose in town both nights. Nice city, awesome food, unbelievable women.
