As in Doom3 Day.I'll be interested to see who runs out and buys it today, and what they say about it possibly tomorrow. Anyone planning on picking it up today ? I doubt I am. Unless I get in a mood to impulse buy -------------------- No Sig

Just got it Computer #1(my computer) - AMD 2500+ Barton, 1024MB DDR Dual Chnl PC3200, nVidia GF 5900 / 128MB RAM - Won't run. Keep getting message that CD/DVD emulation program must be turned off. I don't have a program like that .... at a loss Computer #2 - AMD 2500+ Barton, 512MB DDR Dual Chnl PC3200, nVidia GF 5500 / 256MB RAM Game is at 800x600, medium detail - Very pretty but also very choppy, maybe 15 FPS. My kid won't let me on the thing, keeps saying "Holy shit !!! Awesome !" while playing Forget suggested "minimums". You need a good, fast video card to run this -------------------- No Sig

Well, having played it for a couple of hours, I am in awe...The lighting, the sound, the mood are just incredible. WELL worth the wait, IMHO. Jondster~ Running on Medium quality with all the features on, 1024x768 on a Pentium 4 2.4c, 1GB Ram and a Radeon 9500 is showing decent performance. It is BEAUTIFUL. I hope you get to play sometime soon. O -------------------- ============== vidi vici veni

I'm hoping that I'll be able to run it on this comp:Pentium 4 2.8Ghz 512mb ddr3200 ram GeForce 3 Ti200 64mb The computer itself is more then enough to handle it, but the video card may be the only drawback, but I hope to be able to run it at the lowest settings.

Okay, I don't have it yet, but I know what's wrong with the Emulation thing.I guessing, but you all have a recent version of CloneCD installed. The CloneCD Virtual CD Drive is what's interfering, even if you have it turned off. Uninstall CloneCD, it will work. Trust me. At least 5 people came into #doom3 today on ETG complaining of this, in all 5 cases, clonecd was the culprit. -------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

Shit I must have left my webcam on again.I was able to install it late last night. With my AMD XP 1700+, 1.0 GB of Ram and GeForce III Ti 200 I could only run it well at 800 X 600 with medium graphics. I think I will build a new box soon. I can upgrade Steph's with my parts too. She is still running a P3 933 with 512 MB of ram and TNT2. -------------------- ...
