rofl...no, I was calling to complain about a SUDDEN drop in speed. So the guy starts off about this new great technology. So I said: "Let me get this straight...you guys throttle me back to the point that my internet sucks and am seriously considering switching to Telus' DSL. Then you offer me the chance to get faster speed that does still not come close to what I USED to download at for $10 more? Earlier in our conversation you said my account was previously capped at 8,192kbs so WHERE DID IT GO? When I signed on and was getting a lot faster. I was not expecting Shaw to screw their customer base like this" No sooner did I hang up the phone, I was actually able to download all my usenet headers without timing out (something that I haven't been able to do for a while now). That "Xtreme" shit is nothing more than an excuse for Shaw to throttle customers, offer a new high speed service at a premium price, without the need to fully upgrade their already aged network. PURE & SIMPLE. I will go to Telus before I get that.
