Being that I am a bartender, the version I've heard is the bartender would tell the drunks to mind their P(ints) and Q(uarts) but I doubt that's the real origin. I looked up some others but I won't give it away.

Two others that have always bugged me are:
Worcestershire {'wus-t&(r)-"shir} ~ Granted this one shows just how really fucked up english is.
Pedophilia {"pE-d&-'fi-lE-&} ~ Not even the media seems to get this one right. C'mon, if you're gonna call me a sick pervert get it straight. It's a preference for children not feet.
