hey, i have a hardrive with linux on it installed.

i jus recently got a spare 3 gig( haha its a joke i knw) and i put windows on it.

how do i mount my linux hardrive so when i'm in windows, i can read my linux hardrive?

i hope that's clear.

so pretty much, when i'm in windows, it reads the other hardrive under device manager.
but when i open my computer, it doesn't show up.

thanx

Well. . .the short answer is no you can't.

Windows can't read XFS. Plain and simple.

Well. . .the short answer is no you can't.

But you can get this proggy called explore2fs which will enable you to read and write to ext2 and ext3 from Windows. It's not a mount though, it's a file browser like program. I've used it to read stuff, but never to write. Use at own risk. http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm

You can also get a filesystem driver at http://ashedel.chat.ru/ext2fsnt/
This I've never tried myself, but if you got the balls and it works, let us know mk?

That's it, not XFS, but Ext2 and Ext3. . . I can never remember the filesystem for Linux

Well, the other thing that you could have done would be to load Linux onto a FAT32 partition.

Never tried it, but yeah, it's had that support.
