Really.

I gotta admit I'm still addicted. Hell, a clan just took me in as a member. I just bought Postal2 and the MP expansion pack for shits and irreverant giggles. I'm waiting for HL2. Quake 4 ??? (if I live that long)

I must be about the only one here that does it anymore.

Don't get me wrong. The clan I joined isn't a highly competitive one. It's more "social", with the members getting together a couple of times a week on their Call of Duty server for some gaming and conversation over TeamSpeak. That's the only way I'd do it. It's something I like to do and really miss from those Q2 days years ago.

If any of you remember, I tried to organize a group game situation with TeamSpeak using SOF2. OICU812 was going to provide the server. Too bad it didn't work out. Fortunately I found this group, fit in, and got to be able to do it after all .

I wish a few of you guys could be there also. That's all I was looking for anyways.

Merry Christmas, guys

Merry Christmas.

I still play Q3 CTF almost daily. I tend to play on two servers that have some regulars. Nothing like the old days with you guys though.

Jon what game is the clan playing? SOF2?

I still play Q3 Threewave every night. I also play a bit of Halo PC multi-player. I have SOF2 but haven't played it in ages.
Also play Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon Island Thunder on Xbox Live.

These guys do "Call of Duty". Their server "Kelly's Heroes" (and also the name of the group) used to do Medal of Honor but changed when this new WW2 FPS came out. The server will run a second game but it hasn't been determined yet. I would bet it will be either Medal of Honor/ Pacific Assault (when it comes out) or a RTS game.

CoD has received a bit of aclaim lately and seems to deserve it. No patches have been issued yet, so it would appear to be pretty well coded out. Although it is another WW2 shooter, it's gameplay feels a bit like Q3A and it is set up to require team work for success not only in the MP objective games, but in the standard team DM also (like covering fire and flanking actions).

Their web page is at http://bankheist.org/ but hasn't been updated lately, even to show the change in the game. Once they do this, I agreed to moderate the "Motor Pool" section in the forum, pertaining to hardware and tech issues. I'll still drop in here frequently so you clowns are far from rid of me.

These guys are all chronological adults and seem to be employed mainly in high tech fields. As mentioned, they emphasize use of TeamSpeak on the server and have lately had a channel open to any who care to use it. They also are sponsoring a "marksmanship contest" which is essentially an "arena" style shoot out with a $100 prize. Unfortunately it's been postponed until after the holidays to assure wider participation.

If you happen to have the game installed, drop by 66.230.158.163

If anybody wants to play, message me on AIM or ICQ.. kak2316 or 26662145

Huh ??? You want a burned copy ? I think it uses Safedisc2 which is damned hard, if not impossible to rip. The bigger issue is the CD key. I haven't found a KeyGen yet that works as advertised.

Jon~ Looks like everyone has a copy of this game out there already. They burned after a few tries (i think the transfer rate of my cdwr is choking) anyhoo, I also found a few .txt files with hundreds of codes and the first one I tried worked. There is also a working no-cd key going around.

Cy ~ Really ? I didn't attempt to rip it, and generally I use CloneCD or BlindWrite which seem to get most everything else.

The crack is no problem, in fact it's not even required for MP. If you get a chance, shoot me that text file with the keys.

I think what I'll do is reactivate ICQ so I can be contacted by ICQ, Yahoo or MSN Messenger (Trillium is starting to sound like a good idea). ICQ # is 28173269 and Yahoo and MSN names is jondster.

Look, you guys that want to try CoD in this environment, let me know. The Kellys Heroes server is located (of all places) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa so most people on either coast seem to ping it OK. If you have a headset and TeamSpeak2, let me know.
