AWWNAWWWLD Made it

Davis is out

Buste...Buesta.... The mexican dude, is whinning now and says he dont plan on working with the Terminator. Little pissant

The porn star(Mary Carey) got something like 7 or so thousand votes (I bet all guys too LOL)

Mr Flynt ...eh he got a few

All in all Arnold Schwarzegger got 3.6 million Californian votes. And McClintock got just over 1 mill. I think it shows that if Arnold would not have been there McClintock would have taken it even more than Arnold.

He got in not on political merit but by notoriety. That is why politics sucks. That is why California is a political joke.

Have fun with your $8billion deficit.

8 Billion?? Try 30 some billion. I never said it would be easy for Arnold. He has a BIG road ahead of him. He has to make a budget in 2 months that most others could'nt do in 12.
Yes he has a hard road ahead and I think he will do just find. Why? Because he is NOT in the polotics of a normal status.

Can Arnold be elected president in the US? I mean he isn't born in the US or is that even an requirement?

(So how's the new setup everything swooshing along nicely?)

He can't be elected as the rules are today (you have to be born in USA), but the last thing I heard is that they're now considering this rule....

(Yes....the system is swooshing arounc quite nicely...I only had time to check out Warcraft III yesterday, though...I need to install office, adobe photoshop & illustrator, and some other stuff tonight, as well as archive some stuff from my old computer, but so far I'm happy... )

He got in because he wasn't 'business as usual'. Because he wasn't a career politician. In the immortal words of Monty Python, "And now for something completely different...".

perhaps I should explain that logic to a company. might convince them to give me a CEO position. Cause that is essentially what you are saying, and that is essentially what Arnie now is: CEO of California

Notoriety?? LOL, I always thought Arnie was generally well thought of by the public. "Famous" would probably be a better choice of word.

Hell, even the porn star could probably have done a better job than the current Governor

Yeah, outtie, you're right. She'd probably give a lot more jobs to men than Davis did.

symantecs!!!

anyhow...

quote:
NY Times 10/09/03
Schwarzenegger, who will take office as soon as the results of Tuesday's recall election are certified, said his first priority will be investigating the state's finances. The Republican said the state's budget shortfall for next fiscal year may have risen to at least $10 billion.

I think I am closer with my $8billion. Not bad for a Canucklehead eh?

Arnold is a very smart businessman and should have something good to offer.

I don't agree with having a recall but Gray Davis was spiraling down rather quicky.

Going to California with an aching...in my heart.

I would say it is more likely that his fortune has allowed him to have some pretty smart financial/business advisors. Not take anything away from Arnie, but why are people so infatuated by him?

Do you know for a fact that his business success isn't attributable to him, or are you making an assumption?

actually...i said "I would say" I it means I think he has/has advisors. Anyone as busy as him would need it as he would not be able to dedicate as much time to consider the pros, cons and risk that that might be associated with some investments. they might have lots of money, but when you are a celebrity you most likely can't manage it all yourself...and you ar enot looking to lose money. so with that being said, i change it from I think to I know.

Stubborn guy I am

cause he wasn't to be a REAL action hero. When someone eventually tries to take a shot at him (the Kennedy curse ), he is gonna Terminate him...personally

BTW...I know someone who has a business degree (but he is dumber than a sack of hammers...I think he bought it off e-bay ...I mean the guy I know)

quote:
Today, as Schwarzenegger campaigns to become California's governor, that bachelor's in international business and international economics, obtained mostly through correspondence classes, has provided more heft to a résumé weighted heavily toward big-bang action movies. No matter that the college is largely unknown outside the forested region and is smaller than Santa Monica High, the sheepskin has given Schwarzenegger's supporters the ability to say he has brawn and brains.

HEHE...Sally Struthers!!!

quote:
Schwarzenegger accepted a position as "cooperating faculty member," administrators could then waive residency requirements so he could participate in the university's fledgling "extended degree" program while specializing in fitness marketing and business administration.

Schwarzenegger received some credits for his "life experience" as a fitness expert. He failed, however, to convince the school's communications arts department to give him credits in acting for his pre-blockbuster film career, which included the B-movie "Hercules in New York," in which his accented voice was dubbed. But it did grant him credits for film production.

Just a little info I found on the "issue"
