What pisses me off about ATI is I bought a TV Tuner from them and after I install it and found this problem where the TV screen is nothing but lines their tech people tell me oh if you don't have an ATI video card there can be issues. Especially if your are running Windows XP with an NVidia card. They gave me a work-around. Every time I use it I have to change my display properties from 16 bit to 32 bit or vice versa.
I wish they would have made it clear when you buy it that you need their video card. I would have never bought it then... I'll never buy ATI... -------------------- ...

Grumps:If you buy a low end analog card you can get all the basic channels up to 120 or so. In fact I get free HBO on mine which is channel 5 for Comcast. If you want to get the digital channels you need a digital tuner card or external tuner which cost over $200.00 Either way I don't think you will get porn channels unless you already subscribe to them. Tip: If/when you move into a new house/apartment and only sign up for high speed internet from a cable provider and don't get cable tv service you can simply split off the cable to your modem and get free basic cable. If you want digital cable then your stuck paying...

Those ATI pricks still don't warn you about running that (I)Wonder(if it will work) TV Tuner card's problem with Nvidia GeForce III card and Windows XP. From their website as of today: Q2: With what graphics cards is ATI-TV WONDER family compatible?
A2: ATI-TV WONDER family is compatible with all graphics cards that support overlay. However, due to the number of graphics cards available in the market, ATI cannot test each and every one. Here is the list of manufacturers whose cards are supported: ATI 3Dfx S3 NVIDIA [ 07-02-2003: Message edited by: Cacophonous ] -------------------- ...

I have something to admit about myself to everyone here. The last time Fett was in internet wave silence I hunted down him at his parent's house (using a strange type of deduction) and called him. He said he was busy at his job. I felt like a stalker and never hunted down or called any internet person again. Don't get scared, I PROMISE TO BE GOOD! Trivia: Who said "I PROMISE TO BE GOOD" in UBB history? Take care, Cy
