He had to be one of the coolest geeks even...

If there is a heaven he has most likely made it there. Unlike the pedophile priest he remained true to himself and his God.

You have to admire that even if you are not a believer.

To be honest he kinda creeped me out as a child but I have nothing against him. Did he ever come out of the closet before he died?

Those little puppet thingers use to freak me out- especially that King Friday fella.
Here's all of them

I also have to admit that I found him rather "GaY" at a young age and instead spent time playing outdoors with my imaginary friends. I did notice the interest other children and parents had in him but didn't understand it. No Cac, I think he channeled his homosexuality into his puppet thingers much as many artist do. Doesn't bother me any as long as they don't cross the line.

Young kids do enjoy puppets. When I speak to my son using a different voice for his favorite stuffed animal his attention lights up. It gives me a glimpse into what Fred Rogers was all about. He was a righteous puppet master who had others interest at heart. Thank God he didn't turn into a PeeWee or pedophile priest.

sad day, indeed.

weirdesdt thing, I was in the shower yesterday and for some reason, Mr. Rogers popped into my thoughts. Must have felt it happening or something. In such a shitty world, he was a very positive role model for millions of children, myself included. It's rare that a celebrity death effects me beyond a brief pause but he truly was a good neighbor.

God rest.

When I was young, I watched that show everyday, and I find now, that I seem to have better manners than many I know... It helps very much with the girls, as they are more attracted to a man that opens doors and pays for meals, rather than a dude who walks into a restaurant first, and states just before ordering, that he only has money for himself. Thank you Mister Rogers!

"Hula Mouse is a delightful, Spanish-speaking character who can do many wondrous things with his hula hoop, including rescuing friends from outer space." lmfao...
