I'm looking through all of my old CD's. I think I've found a bunch of old skins and maps and whatnot, I'll sort through them and post them in a bit.

Working in it there's a lot to sort through. I found Hal 9000's Old map pack, now I'm going through skins.

Look at what your cl_maxfps is set at. It defaults to 90, could you have set it lower for some reason?

It's not our cl_maxfps. I know Cy and I have it much higher than 60. It's set on that server somehow. I saw some message on the server.

No, it didn't have anything to do with the server. I got that number when running it in SP on my computer. I'd think maybe there's a max fps setting somewhere that I missed. But Cy gets the same result ???

I get the same thing also. The readme.txt with the crusher says something about disabling v ync otherwise you won't ever get framerates higher then your montitor refresh rate. That sound feasible, just got to figure out how to do that now.

I went into my video card settings and changed vertical sync to "off by default" and set cl_maxfps to 200 and my FPS doubled. I haven't done any other "tweaking" though. I have a GeForce4 4200Ti and the setting was in advanced->additional properties-> OpenGL settings....your video card menu will probably be different to mine but good luck. By the way, my card's setting was for vertical sync to be ON by default.

I remeber that setting you maxfps at 35 is supposed to help your connection. When people got better hardware with slow connections (modem, 1 channel ISDN) too many fps could chocke the connection, so much graphics data was being transmitted that you would just lagg out.
