Anyone watching it tonight?

The first night is always the best, they show all the freaks who didn't make the cut. It is the only part worth watching other than the final show.

Missed the first American Idol... well, started to watch it when it was down to the final four. Looking forward to seeing the auditions. Should be hilarious!

Was it just me or did that Nicky chick suck? Can't believe she made it past Tamyra!

Yep, I tuned in late also last year. I didn't think ANY of the final talent was really that good. There were no stars out that night for sure.

Maybe this year a REAL talent will emerge...we will see.

Really am only interested in watching tonights freak show anyhoo.

I think you better ask Brandy before you start humping her leg. There are rules against that in these parts you know.

Umm...is this a popstars-kinda thing?

If so, the series (norwegian version)started airing for the first time in Norway last Friday...

It's amazing how bad you can be and still be shocked to hear it from the judges...

We could care less Gin.

Can you sing?

-----

I felt bad for a few of those wanna-bees last night. Could you pick out which ones were potential stalkers? You say "Yeah, but could you sing any better Cy"? Well, I can, just ask Ellen.

I'm guessing that people auditioning this year watched last year's shows, meaning that they are well aware that the very best and very worst singers are the main ones that are actually shown on TV.

Meaning: They purposely sing bad or act crazy because they know that is their only chance to get on TV.

I find it hard to believe that someone that sings terrible actually thinks they are good.

Maybe the first season most of the funny crappy ass singers were truely trying to get picked to 'go to Hollywood', but this season I', guessing that 80% of those crazy asswipes were singing terrible or acting like fuckwads on purpose. Just to get 'on tv'.

I would say that maybe 20% were just local actors there on a dare but 80%? I took singing lessons and became friends with my teacher who told me that most of her students were tone deaf but believed they were going places. Acting and singing brings lots of loons out of the attic. You either have it or you don't. Wonder how someone becomes a talent scout...wouldn't that be a cool job?

After watching tonight's show, I guess you may be right. Maybe most of them actually think they can sing.

-And she's... climb bing the stair... case to he-av on!

I can't bring myself to watch that show. Probably because I'm tired of some assholes defining for me what talent is, when usually it's just slightly better shit than "normal" shit.

Whatever happened to that Kelly what's-her-name that won the first one ? Is she really an "idol" or just another Andy Warhol 15 minutes-of-fame beneficiary ?

The fact that I don't remeber her name must say something. Idol ???
