Depend on what kinf of cpus you've got. But if you want something efficient and noiseless go with a water cooling system (but it's expensive). Here's a review from Toms's hardware of 4 different system (2 for AMD and 2 for Intel). Or just go with a good fan/heatskink combo as the usual one they're almost all good (rules of thumb, normally, the higher the price, the better). If you want a good idea here in Canada for around 30-40 CAN $ you've got a good fan and heatsink. Wile below 20 CAN $ is too cheap to have quality.

I use Master Cooler heat sinks/fans which work as well as some of the more expensive brands/types.

My case air flow is maximized and I have extra case fans too.

Lindi if you post a message, at least, you could revise it to check for any errors in your text or your link...

I saw that a while ago... yeah I'd like to do that...I'd be quiet, but I don't think I could just buy Liquid Nitrogen from my local grocery store.

"Ease of use" was not a term that popped directly into my mind when I read the article either...

It doesn't use liquid nitrogen.. only water... But in my case I would use distilled water since it doesn't conduct electricity...

No true DGhost, everything conducts electricity in some way. It's just a matter of how much resistance.

Yeah true, but in that case distilled water won't conduct electricity... So if by any bad luck the hoses in the system start leaking, at least I wont short circuit the board with distilled water.

Technically, you are right, DGhost. Distillated water is totally non-conductive (about like oxygen).

HOWEVER, small particles will make the water conductive. The best way to assure that your board won't get shorted would be to soak it in continually-renewed 100% distillated water for a few days... to wash it thorougly. And then, to put it in stable water and renew your water every day or so, until you'd be satisfied there would be no more particles.

And beware, if you remove your board from that water tank, the contact with oxygen will corrode the metal. So it should be leaved continuously soaked in water

Have a nice day
Mike

I remeber a page that had a collection of different cooling systems for computers, one of which was a totaly submerged computer. I read it a long time ago, so I don't remeber the details... but it would be kinda cool to have a tank with the computer on the shelf. It would be the ultimate techno toy.

Wow that would be cool. Just for fun, have a very thin glass layer between that and a fish tank! LOL!!!!
