I just bought myself an appartment.

All I need now is 2.5 children and a pet dog, since I've allready got a cellphone...

Man this feeling is unbelievable.

Hehe, it's been a longtime dream of mine to get an place of my own, instead of living on rent. So now I'm going to be in debt for the next few years *gulp*.

I'll try to lend my friends digital-cam to take a few pics.

I just signed the papers. Funny thing I noticed when I steped out from the bank was that the world still looks the same none the less.

Kinda of a strange feeling, I just made one of the "big" descissions of my life and finalized the deal but still the world keeps on rotating.

Steph and I are getting rid of our lake house and buying a much nicer bigger cooler house that is more in the city and not on a lake.

I will miss the lake, but cannot afford two homes just yet.

Anyway the new house has: 1900 Sq. ft., 3 bedroom, two full baths, spiral stairs, a loft, huge garge (2-3 car) with it's own furnace , automatic doors, windows and work shop. Lots of windows in the house (nice stained wood ones) central air, etc...

I have a couple pics of the new house.

Lucky! I'm still stuck in my appartment.. I've got to pay my student loans for the next 5-6 years... After that I'll check for a house. Heheheh moving out from your parents house is a big step that I never regreted. You learn so much with your first appartment and all the bills to pay...

Looks really cool Cac!

DGhost ~ been living on my own for about 5 years now, but always on rent. I've finaly had the opportunity to buy an appartment. So bills are quite familiar to me... a little too familiar at times.

I just uploaded a few "before" pictures I took earlier today. My plans are to remake the toilet, also I'm getting a new owen and a dish washer installed in the kitchen. I'm also considering touching up the balcony, but that is not a priority now.

Nice appartment!

I see yer on the ground floor. The first bathroom has a drain in the middle of the floor...I've never seen that before in an appartment... only in public swimming pools. Interesting

Once of the things that made me go for this appartment is that it is in such good condition, I don't need to do much work to make it perfect for me.

It's 61.5 square meters, The cost was approximately 58000€. I had a little nestegg so I had to get a loan for about 50000€, which will leave me with a little money for fixing the toilet and getting a dishwasher and the stowe.

haha, I think I right now am just as messed up as a yankee...I have no real comprehension of a square meter...square foot yes, but not square meter (unless you wnna say "hey dipshit it is 9 sq/ft...but SHADUP ).

I sometimes think we are worse off for making a half assed attempt to switch to metric...since we still have one of our feet dipped in the American Imperial measure...

But that's just me rambling in one of my....deep thoughts

Hm. I had one in Malaysia. It makes sense, really. Just much easier to clean the toilet.... swamp it with water, add some jif and brush, swamp with more water and brush, and watch it run down the drain

Riv ~ I live in Turku, it's a lot cheaper than Helsinki.

Broch ~ The drain is just the shower drain, I've got a "proper" toilet... as you can see in the photos.

Red ~ The floor is just not quite in perfect shape (the pics don't really show the floors that well), I'm considering having the floor redone. The thing is it's going to cost pretty much, so it'll have to wait for now.
