Yuppie! And no, I don't have a mobile

That model seems to be all the rage amongst my friends, though. Every teenager and his dog has one in Australia. Except me But I just use my friends' mobiles, so it's all good

Personally I'm not worried about the radiation or whatever they're warning us about. I think those are really worst-case scenarios and will only happen if it's glued to your ear for hours every day. For regular use it's probably OK.

Besides, everything seems to give you cancer these days. In a year or two this whole scare will have all blown over and there will be something new to be worried about.

I have a Motorola Microtac 650. I doubt if it will fry my brain any worse than the things I did 15 years ago.

Mich ~ 5110 ver solid phone, good battery life, all the basic functions and you do not need to spend too much cash to get it.

Hatter ~ Yeah I've heard about problems finding the network, supposedly the problem is pretty common with phones that have the builtin antenna. Then again there is a network station on top every buildin here so it's not really a problem.

Yes Lindi yes, is a good phone and as you say what I like the most is the battery life, it is amazing. The only problem I see now is the size, too big for the pockets.

Belt clip? between a phone in the belt and dead I choose dead.
I think I look really stupid with a movil in my belt, perhaps is because I am tired of seeing people here at the beaches with their movils clipped at their swimsuits.
Nothing to say against that, each one can do what they prefer but personaly I donīt like the "visual efect"

Kay, I know what you mean. The mobile culture has taken almost ridiculous proportions here in Finland.

That's one of the good things about my new cellphone, it fits in my pocket and it has the "vibra" function so I can keep it silent and still know when when I get a call or SMS.

Looks sweet, the only thing is I'm trying to stay away from phones with any mechanical parts like a flap or any sort of rollers like the nokia 7110...

Well, since we're comparing phones...

Here's mine. Bigger than anyone else's here, I'm sure. *Snaps suspenders*. Yeah, I'm a man.

This thing came free with my car (and rivals its size) and I almost had to look through Internet archiving services to find a pic of this Beast. I've scaled the picture to make it actual size on a 1024 display.

I don't think that the Philips diga was that large, back when it was originaly released. It's just that cellulars have become smaller all the time...

What I was going for was a basic phone, I don't care about games, mp3 players, FM radios, WAP and such. I want a phone that I can talk on and that does hopefully not break instantly.

Oh, it is that large. I can hold it up to the screen and it's the exact same size on a 1024x768 (17") screen.

It's my parents' phone, by the way.

Hehe, yeah the next thing I'm gona get is probably going to be more like a portable computer than a phone. That is going to be a few years away thoug, I'm usually very carefull with my cell phone. I had my old phone for about 2― years and I only dropped it four times, I get almost paranoid if I don't where it is etc..

Dunno what it is, I'm just carefull with it.

I have the Nokia 8210...I like the way it looks, it's nice and small and fits in my pocket without me crushing the freakin' antenna....(which I did with my previous one...the 5110)

Max.
