I tried www.coins.com but they are mostly auctioning US coins. There were some others, but not many picture adds.. and since I'm not very familiar with stuff like this the descriptions were mostly hebrew to me.

I'm not sure. I originally thought it was a Yen, but now that I'm taking japanese, I don't see any familiar symbols, so I doubt that it's japanese. I've heard Chinese from several people, that's pro'lly what it is.

That is definitely Chinese characters on the bottom picture, on the top however looks like scribbles to me.
Possibly old Chinese, however there doesn't seem to be much wear, could be a fake? The circle with a square hole is definitely an old Chinese design, seen all over old chinese shows (anyone ever watched once upon a time in china I/II/III....?)

Chalk up another for Old Chinese. My dad has a coin from China that looks a lot like that except I can't make out any of the symbols due to the wear, so I'm not exactly sure.
I'm sure I need to go wank though, so I'll brb.
