Supposedly, the plane in PA (unconfirmed btw), the pilot crashed it into a field rather than the target the hijackers wanted. My school went insta-paranoid. Closed luch, seminar (think study-hall), canceled all sports, extracurricular activities, cancled all afternoon schools (where you go for advanced/specialized classes, ie. ap classes), etc. So I got a 1/2 day today. Call me loony, but I'd think that if you wanted to protect children, you'd make them leave school, not stay in it.

Yes, we all know terrorists would jsut lvoe to bomb the Barnes & Noble... I live in the Bay Area, and all San Francisco public schools are closed, cause some ppl think the eastern attacks could also be a distraction, and the only thing of importance on west coast is San FranciscoFOUR planes were hijacked... 1 kamikazed into the pentagon 2 kamikazed into the World Trade Center towers... Tower 7, and I believe 1 and 5 have collapsed 1 crashed 80 miles SE of pittsburgh, supposedly on its way to Camp David, the presiden hangout Bush was in Florida talking to schools when this first started, so he flew up to Louisiana, then Nebraska, and who knows where he is now... I think he got a little infatuated They're trying to f*ck up our economy and government... It's not very easy to try to locate 1 person and then crash a plane into him, and I don't think they're out for him that much anyways And a car bomb did go ouf outside the State Buliding, but it didn't seem to do much of anything

I've been watching it all day. . . I hope they get the fuckers who did this.-------------------- “I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road.” “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” --Dr. Stephen Hawking.

Obviously there is absolutely nothing we can say that we aren't already thinking. This is terrible, I was sickened when I woke up at 4am and heard about this, and the entire day has gone by in a daze. Watching the TV today has presented me with the most horrific images I've ever seen.Although it can't possible match any emotions I felt when watching and hearing about the events, it is disturbing and depressing to hear kids and younger people talk about it. Kids on my bus today have laughed about it, been disappointed that it wasn't more "exciting", were dumbing down the situation ("It's just America"). So many kids today have talked about how Americans are "stupid." Why? Because they don't know shit, that's why. Kids today are getting more ignorant and more selfish every single day. How could kids at school possible laugh at the image of the man waving a shirt out a window of a building just about to disappear off the face of the earth? This has easily been the worst day of my life. We can't even begin to comprehend the scale of this. It's impossible and ignorant to think we know how the victims feel. And don't worry about the people who did this - that will work out. [ 09-11-2001: Message edited by: Redlemons ]

I first heard about this from a friend, who had a day off yesterday. At first I didn't believe him, when he explained to me what had happened over the phone. Then all net traffic to US servers was basically shutdown or the traffic was so big that the lines were over saturated. So we turned on the radio at work, the news reports were all over the stations. Still could not believe it. So when I got home I turned the TV on, the images were just surreal, I watched them in utter disbelief. Now the eyewitness reports are coming in, people who saw what happened, people who surriviwed and made it out of the towers. I just feel so bad seeing this. I do hope that investigators will find the people responsible for these terrorist actions; the terrorists should be punished to the fullest possible extent. I am also scared by the economical long term effects that these events will have globally, but that is still just money, nothing compared to the human loss of yesterday. My deepest condolences to anyone personally touched by this. [ 09-12-2001: Message edited by: Lindi ]

Well, I just said to one of my friends, that many kids nowadays need beating up to get some sense into their heads, so heh. Sad to see this happen, I've been watching the news and I simply couldn't believe it, I don't think anyone could have. Things are still not yet over, hope George W Bush doesn't heat up and start doing mistakes. Hope none of you were effected by this, pray that this would never happen again. Anyway, hi guys, I thought I'd just pass by this good ol' forum again, heh. --------------------

I'm not planning on staying here or anything, it's just that i'm very upset about this, and i need to talk to some people about it...I was sitting the corner talking to Alex at approximately 9:30 in the morning...our government studies teacher turned the news on because we were done with our work and were having a break, and all of a sudden, i was like, omg, what did they just say...and then i heard what i thought i heard... All the teachers had us watching it all day...in second block, i then found out one had crashed in Somerset, PA...i was already worried because my bro works in DC, my cousin works in the pentagon, and my cousin janine is in the NY National Guard, and my uncle Greg, was on a plane, and I was so worried something happened to one of them. Then, i heard Somerset, PA....and they were closing the Galleria Mall, and airport, and everything in Johnstown...everything that I see atleast once a week. Somerset is only 30 minutes from my school...Someone reported near our school the plane was smoking and when it went over our school, houses nearby were shaking...it just barely made it past my school. that has me so frightened, because just a little shorter and I would be dead, and that scares me to death and really made me want to re-evaluate my life. I'm so lucky that it didn't hit my school and that all of the people i worried about all day made it and are all ok.. My bro and cousin were evacuated, and my uncles plane landed and he had to get a rental car to come back here from Denver, Colorado. But, i guess it's really scary, and really sad...and it has me thinking a lot... -------------------- "I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled, And that has made all the difference."
