I just ran it on my new computer. Anyone else try it? Got 6500 3D Marks. But my computer is still running TOOOOOOOOOO hot for my comfort.

Idle CPU: 35C
Idle GPU: 53C
Stressed CPU: 52C
Stressed GPU: 60C

I'm in the process of rounding my cables to increase airflow.. (since the system runs faster with the side panel off ). Besides that, everything runs smooth as diarrhea.

I acctually think that the CPU temps are ok for an Athlon. The specs are listed over at AMD's site and as long as it's running stable I wouldn't worry.

52c for the cpu isn't all that bad. My PIII 650 oc'd to 866 idles around 32c and max's out at 51c. Been running it that way for months. If I drop it back to 806 it still gets up to 48c. At the stock 650 it max's 42c.

You shouldn't really worry about that CPU temperature, it's pretty normal to get into the lower 50s. Upper 50s is where I'd start to think about getting better cooling. My CPU is a T-bird 1200/200 running at 1400/266 on 1.92v and it runs at around 53-63 full load (doing Genome@Home)

That GPU temp may be a tad bit hot... Make sure the fan on the heatsink is spinning without any struggles (oil it if you have to, but only just enough to lube the fan. Too much oil can short the motor or cause the windings to come loose)

My Geforce2 GPU is idling at 59 :/

The last time I ran a 3dmark2001, I got around 3990something I think, but the system wasn't stable enough to upload the score The best one I uploaded was 3951

that cpu temp is normal and perfectly acceptable...as is that gpu temp. The biggest problem is the fact that the oc/chillthrill crowd is soooooo damn gung hoe on having lower temps that people around them feel that "oh shit...I gotta be cooler than that!!"

And quite frankly, the increased resistance due to the heat is gonna add to a very very trivial amount of difference in performance...unless your aim is to overclock. Take a system and do a bench on it, and then try again at the same clock speed but at a cooler temp and you can almost be guaranteed there will be a barely noticable difference if any...

Snag's right. . .

My P3 667 slot one at stock(133fsb) ran about 29c idle and 52c full load. At 700 (140fsb) it's about 30 idle and 54 full load. I've had it running at 750 (150fsb) and it'll idle around 30-33c and hit almost 60c under load.

It's a slot-1, but I think the higher temps are probably becuase my fsb is so high(Northbridge getting really hot).(eats alot of systems for breakfast when it comes to memory bandwidth tests)

Fear, you know I can't beat a DDR system (which you obviously have).
