Man I'm pissed off.

I've been complaining about my workstation for nearly two years now, apparently my boss doesn't take me very seriously. So when I came to work this morning the machine just refuses to do anything. To fix the problem the IT-department brings me 16 megs more ram and then they cleared some local logs to make the box work a little faster.

So now I'm running NT4 (SP5) with a pentium 200 MHz / 64 Mb RAM after the "update".

Man they have better puters in Albania, goddamnit.

Man, that sucks. My work gave me a PII450, 384 meg of ram, for HOME, a year or so ago. Not that I'm rubbing it in, or anything. Really. I'm not.

As far as you know...

Hmmm. . . it sorta depends what chair I'm sitting in at the time.

Workstation #1:
Intel i810 board
Celeron somethinge (more than 400, that I DO know)
64MB Ramm
Asus 52X CD-Rom
MS Kybd/Mouse
15" NEC Monitor

Workstation #2
Aopen Board, 440BX
Celeron 300a (not o/c'd at the moment, but it was a week ago)
64MB Ram
Crappy vid card
crappy soundcard
crappy mouse
crappy keyboard.
Viewsonic Monitor

Workstation #3
This one is my favorite. . .
486 DX4 100. . . which, depending on it's mood, is either at 126Mhz or 132Mhz (no shit, it's different everytimg you turn it on)
16Meg EDO
as for sound/vid who knows. . .
Acer Monitor
It's just used for web surfing so, we hardly actually use it.

We mostly just use the fastest machine to do make invoices and configure custome computers, do payroll, that kind of thing.
The 300a is mostly just for d/ling drivers or utility proggies.

Lindi. . . you wouldn't want Workstation #2, it's got a Quantum Bigfoot HD in it. . . Except for that one, I don't think there is a working Bigfoot anywhere in the world.

I got the new pII, the reason was that the event log filling with warning messages about bad sectors on the HD, so a working Bigfoot is better than a broken anything.
