This is so horrible, had to go back to my 14" backup monitor. I just sold my 17" and am waiting for the 19" Samsung I just ordered.

Man I hope it arrives soon, 'cause this thing is killing my eyes.

I feel your pain. . .

At home I've got a 19" and at work I have to use 15" monitors.

I'm also having major problems fitting everything on the screen since I'm forced to run in 800x600 to preserve my eyesight.

lindi...

i posted this just last week when some guy ordered a V8200 GeForce3... he complained that it took too long to deliver cuz the main store location was in BC and he lived on the East Coast.

the computer store that im buying all my shit (online) has an option to just pick up the parts. by some miracle, it turns out that my new appartment is less than a block away from the store. i'm one lucky bastard. saved me about 3 weeks of delivery and $150 of shipping charges.

btw, how much did u shell out for that monitor?
without the shipping cost...

Nothing yet, I'm not going to give the dealer any money untill I'm holding the monitor. The store is located something like 5 blocks from me, no shipping charges obviously.

The monitor costs 2450 FIM, which translates to 2450 / 6,868 = 356,72 USD.

Nice Erazor!

I have a question, is there any significant differences between a Samsun and a Samtron monitor? Or are these basicaly the same screen with different names stamed on them?

Hehe, congratz in advence.

I just hope I do get it, the store I ordered it from is very small and apparently the owner is having problems delivering certain goods, mainly displays and memory combs.

I sure hope I will get it this week, since I finalt managed to spare enough money afford the new display and yes the 14" "smile" (ever heard of that brand?) monitor really sucks, can't go above 800x600 and well using that resolution is just so limited. I barely check my email at home now, 'cause it's so horrible.

i have a Voxon II ...lol. ever heard of that brand? it didnt even come with damned drivers. so right now.. "Unknown Monitor"

btw, i hear viewsonic is good--how is Optiquest (as a "value" version of viewsonic products)? the only flaw in getting a 19" monitor, is i'm not sure if it'll fit on this corner desk..lol.

Seem like you've got the same problem as me, I really hope that the 19" monitor fits my corner desk. I wouldn't want to get new furniture for my monitor... that's gona add to the price.

Here's a quick diagram of my computer desk...

see those two side walls (beside the monitor), well, i dont think the 19 incher would fit in there. I FIGURE.. bust out the back of the monitor area, and have the monitor somewhat inside the two walls. but how i'm gonna get it there..is the mystery.

i thought of pulling it forward, but see that box thing left of the monitor? well, that comes out...so putting the monitor up front would mean no pull out box.

ahh, the trials and tribulations of getting a 19" monitor..

That's pretty similar to the desk I have, I've got a CD-rack just next to the display on the left side that might be useless if the 19" monitor blocks it.

I think that it ok othervise.

Yeah, the stand you can actually move. I'm not sure if im gonna use it, but still the desk is nice. i like the finish on it. the top is some sort of plastic, so i know it wont wear down (like this one...the finish is almost completely gone where i used to use my mouse).

didja get your monitor yet?

I only have a little experience with the Asus board. All I've got to say that Asus boards are quality products and very reliable.

Then again I cannot compare it with the others 'cause I haven't tried them. Asus just seems like a safe choise.

Only thing im going by now is that the A7M uses the AMD760 chipset (latest and greatest i guess), and the EPoX 8KHA uses Via KT266 (which in its earlier stages was very unstable). i odnt know what to do ...lol.

Ahem, the A7M uses the AMD761 chipset. The AMD760 was the first DDR chipset, but it had a few glitches too, the 761 is MUCH better than the earlier one.
