I accidentlly posted as Star6...forgot to logout.Anyway hey maybe you remember me but I remember you... I have heard bad things about WD from some real reliable sources. Personally I always like Maxtor. I own a nice 40 GB Maxtor Diamond 7,200 RPM ATA 100 hard drive whcih I've had for some time now and it runs great. However I added a new hard drive which was that new IBM GXP60 which is even quieter faster and runs cooler. It has larger (20 GB) platters. Anyway I made it my primary drive running my OS and made the Maxtor a backup and storage secondary drive. So far I like the IBM better. IBM hard drives have a great reputation. I have had good experiences with Maxtor, IBM, Fujitsu & Samsung hard drives. -------------------- ...

My teacher used to give us dimploma exams (provincials i guess there) for tests and midterms. She used to mark me at 47% and in that range. Either I would fail or barely pass. Then I get an 87% on the actual diploma exam. Well, since I would never have her again I went to her office at the start of the next term with my score having just received it in the mail. In not so colourful terms I basically said "What the fuck is your problem? Why are you giving me shitty marks and then I blow through this dimploma exam". Her response was "Because I felt you had potential to be so much more". And my response was "By fucking up my self-esteem and subsequently my marks and very possibly my academic career...thanks a fucking lot". She then stopped me and said how my sister used to be the best english student she ever had bla bla bla and thus held me to a higher standard. Needless to say I have not said that bitches name in 6 years and refuse to even to this day because I have nothing good to say about that fucking HAG!!Must say though, I do regret not putting effort into high school. I maybe did an hour worth of homework all through high school and through test score alone I passed with about a 75% average. Nothing spectacular, but says a fair bit about those test scores. Hell, I got 93% in my physics class in my 2nd year of college without studying, having missed the previous weeks of classes and not sleeping before I went to it cause I was working. My prof bitched me out shaking my transcript at me telling me I could do so much if I tried...thing is, I never knew what I wanted to do. So I was content at being a jack of all trades and a master of none. Only now am I realizing that I wanna go back to school...so for those of you who worked at it etc...I admire. For those of you that worked at it, succeeded, worked a job, got laid etc...I APPLAUD YOU...and am jealous. Anyhow, congrats man.

sup rivendell, and yeah, cac i remember u right now i have a 15gig maxtor diamond max plus..only 5400rpm ... and i just barely used half of it =\ im supposed to go to school today at 1pm and take a chemistry mockprovincial.. the only class i havent studied for and its worth about 5% of our mark and snag, i sorta have an english teacher like that. except she's not a bitch.. she marks harder than the ppl marking our provincial exams. but it paid off... earlier this year i hella slacked in english cuz i didnt think much of it. then i started getting 50% on my compositions. now i'm one of the few who has gotten a perfect mark on a final formal essay comp. she's the same teacher who gave us the english final provincial exam for our midterm exam. our average class mark (for the gr 12's) was around 55-60% as for my other classes, i tried for the first term of this year and averaged a high 92% in all my classes (Infotech, math, physics, chem, english, religious studies, and calculus). coulda gotten higher--but decided to play q3 and go out breakdancin..heh. now im down about 6% i suck. but once this is over, imma party it up this summer. then somehow scratch up enough dough to buy my pimpin computer. then.. maybe i'll start playing q3 again.

I didn't want to start a new topic, so i'll just reply to this i just took ANOTHER math mock provincial (3rd one) and i still havent studied yet anyways, i got 2 multiple choice questions wrong, and there was this ONE question in the short answer section that seems impossible to solve. Tk, answer this: 1. Determine the cubic polynomial function with zeros 1, 2 and +/-3 that passes through (3, -10). (answer may be left in factored form) i tried graphing the answer on my calculator, but only got 3 zeros.. 1, 2 and -3. NO +3... so, right now, i'm not counting that question..lol. without it, i got 97% so, the 3 marks i got in 3 successive math mock provincials were: 83% (open book), 86% (without studying and in 1hr 45mins), 97% (without studying in the full 2hrs 30mins).
