Then quit your bitching, get a new monitor, and run them in 2048x1536!

(oh, and be sure to send me the old one)

No, but I do have $1000Aust. more than you do

Besides, I've got a Voodoo2, which as far as I can tell, is about 5 generations behind.

$1000 in Australia? What does that translate to in the USA?

I have about $1200 in my bank right now. My PC I just built drained a good $2500 out of my savings.

Before you ask:
1GHz P3 133fsb
384MB PC150 cert RAM (mushkin)
350W Enermax power supply
Lian-Li PC60 brushed aluminum case (dual front fans, dual out, plus a PCI slot coolor, etc)
Visiontek GF3 w/ blorb
SB Live X-Gamer 5.1
ASUS CUSL2-C i815EP mobo
30GB Maxtor 7200 RPM
Win2k Pro (of course!)
NIC, floppy, DVD
Rounded cables on everything!
Sony E400 19'' trinitron.
I don't know if I'm forgetting anything. Oh well.

Right now it's running at 1125MHz 150fsb sycronis with my RAM clock. I've gotten it up to 1200/160 stable but I don't want to push it. My GF3 is stock 200/460 now running at 235/535 (again, clocked down from max to be safe).

Nice setup dude

Just to clarify a small point. . . RAM runs at whatever the FSB is, the only difference with PC133 and PC150 ram is that PC150 is guaranteed to run and 150MHz but it stilll is only really PC133, it's just WAY more stable when you're OC'ing.

Some ram is manufactured with a lower NS rating so it can reach higher speeds, hence the "PC150" remarks

of course, some is also 7.5 or 7.0ns (133 and 143, respectively) that just works at 150

PC66, 100, 133, 150, they're all the same kind of ram just manufactured differently

I've got a Voodoo Banshee baby... but I'm not complaining 'cause I used to have an S3Virge....

Haha wolfie. . . it's okay, I didn't even have an S3Virge on my old system.

Fury, my RAM is supposed to be 7.5ns. . . I had it running at 150 today cause I got bored and OC'd my meager 667 P3 (133FSB) to 750Mhz (fsb@150) it wouldn't POST at anything higher than that (probably voltage and or RAM, it was only running 4oC higher than normal @ 750) It did run stable at 750 though, I clocked it back down though.

What the hell, man?!

If it works at 750, why the hell not keep it there?

2 reasons. . . 1)It's not that important to me. . .2)GENERIC COOLER. . .CPU HEATS UP TO FAST. At idle it's okay, but if I start doing something, it jumps like crazy, the HSF I've got just doesn't keep the heat stable enough, meaning that the heat output curve is a straight line at 750.

oooooo! ah, but is it refurbed or otherwise "not new"?

i think i'll wait to get it at CompUSA anyways. I want to get a 2 year replacement plan on it that compusa offers. $70, unconditional 2 year replacement, no shipping to be repaired. I got a replacement on my E400 and I used it after 4 months. I sent my monitor to get repaired, got it back, it died again shortly after. I hate dealing with warranties. So I used my replacement plan and got a new E400 that day. Very nice.
