Very sexy! I'd better sit down

I've seen a few Unreal II pics, and they all look sweet! Anyone seen that pic with the flamethrower? I'll see if I can find it...

Ah who says we shouldn't talk about Unreal stuff here. We obviously like Quake, and I thought everyone would be sick of the entire "All your base-" I mean "Quake vs Unreal" debate. We like what we like, and even if you can't stand Unreal (like me) you can't argue that the screenies don't look impressive, to say the least!

I was trying to get it from 3DPalette.org but Netscape crashed so I gave up and made some tea.

OMG that flamer pic looks totaly unbelievable... damn that's nice. I also saw a preview on TV, the player models are going to have great facial animations too.

I just wonder if I'm going to be able to afford a system that will run this game...

How come we don't get commercials for games here in Australia? The only game commercial I've ever seen on TV was Mechwarrior 2, and that was around 1995 or 1996, I think.

I don't know why they don't advertise games on TV- you'd think that 95% of their demographic and target audience would watch TV.

Well we have this TV channel called "MoonTV", I think it's started by a few enterprizing youngsters. Nobody on the channel is much over twenty.

They've got an pretty "offbeat" format, alternative music, interviews with artists, skating/snowboarding and of course gaming news for the PC and consoles a like.

The Gaming news are quite cool, although as I whined before everything is released quite late here in Finland.

It's not Unreal Tournament II, it's Unreal II. There's a difference, seeing as UT is so similar to Q3A, but Unreal 2 will be single player mainly, with a storyline etc.

I'd love to know how much of those screenshots is nothing but rendered eye candy or part of cutscenes/in-game movies. You'll hardly ever see screenshots of upcoming games that aren't doctored, touched up etc.

Oh, boy I can allredy sense how many Unreal II/Doom 3 debates there are going to be on the net, when these puppies are released.

I'm almost getting annoyed allready!

Hmm, after thinking it over for a while, I must say that let's wait and see. Unrela was also really hyped and yes very pretty for it's time, BUT let's not forget gameplay by getting totaly dazzled by pretty pictures.

Am I being too sceptical?

I never quite liked the gameplay of unreal, it was okish in singleplayer mode, but sucked for multiplayer IMHO.

The "autoevade" option was one of the first things to be disabled. I just didnt get on terms with it.
