I think I'll be going for a think I'll go for a CD-rw next, great for backing up stuff etc. I really should get me a new display adapter too.

Lindi, if ur gonna get a burner.. might as well get the best.

Plextor Plexwriter 12/10/32A <--the A is essential.

or just make sure you get a burner that's B.U.R.N. proof (Buffer Under RuN protection..i think..heh). basically, burn proof cdr/rw never fuck up. literally.

i lub me burner.

btw, snag, how many coasters have u made w/your yamaha?

One thing huge hard drives make you do is collect stuff.
Back when I only had 4 gigs of storage I would not have had a 3 Gig Mame folder, (arcade emulator). Nor would I have done the full custom 3 Gig install of Baldurs Gate. I definately wouldn't have 10 gigs of Divx movies on my hard drive.
I will probably move my Divx movies to CDs soon. I actually have them all on CD anyway. (except The Road Warrior, I ripped that from my DVD to see if there was anything to this DVD ripping stuff.)

When i went to shafted i went with a formatted 20 gig drive - it came back with 1.28 gb spare!!!!

I filled it up with DivX movies - cd iso's and tonnes of stuff!

Oh and btw, the Plextor is definitely better

Thanks for the tips d00ds, I've read good reviews about the Plextor stations. Unfortunately I won't be able to purchase the burner any time soon, got caught by the customs carrying some extra cigarettes -> huge extra tax -> me broke

Well, I've descided to go for a GeForce 2 MMX (32Mb). The burner will have to wait.

I'll take this opportunity to pimp my new, not nescesarily improved webbie, where you will find some info on me and my hardware too.

It's not much to look at, and don't mind the typos. I know they are there.
