It seems that I can only connect to CTF servers. Every time I try to connect to an FFA or a Team Deathmatch server, I get booted off. But there is no actual reason for it. In fact, it goes through the usually "Loading Game Media" screen. But once Q3 actually loads, the screen freezes and I get kicked to the main menu. It only seems to do this if I play CTF then leave whatever server I'm on and try to connect to a server running FFA or whatever. It's really begining to piss me off. I may even start using Game Spy again if this keeps up.
It works fine if I join an FFA or TD or Tournament server first, just not with CTF.
I would have posted this in the Outpost or Tech Center, but who goes to those forums anyway?

Look in the console after you get booted for the error message... it probably says, "Unpure client" or some crap... and that is because you have extra .pk3 referenced.
Closing q3, and reloading it will probably fix it.
There is no solution to this problem that I know of.

I did look in the console, it doesn't actaully say anything. It just has the usuall junk, nothing about Unpure Client. Even if I had an extra .pk3 refrence, why would everything be fine if I go to FFA or Team Death first. That shouldn't make a difference if I have extra .pk3's
BTW the finger still hurts, but at least it's stopped bleeding now. Well more like stopped leaking. And I can almost straighten it out now. I still can't make a fist though, it pulls on the cut too much. Plus the bandage slips on the damn mouse wheel, so it's a bitch changing weapons. Oh well, I'll live. . . maybe

BTW, to find the error that dumped you it's not right at the bottom of the console, you have to scroll up to find it. Look for it just after it says ,"Server shutdown" or something very similar.
Quake 3 doesn't unload the pk3 files that it references if you play a game and go back to the main menu, that's what the whole problem is.

I was kicked too often too, and noticed a v.126 thing on my ver.117 I uninstalled and patched wit no problems. Maybe that helps.
