A little something I've been working on during the past four weeks in the evenings
out here in sunny California, whilst I wait for my fiance to get her sorry butt out
of Georgia, SmashQ3 beta1 is now available.

SmashQ3, in a nutshell, is the first Single-Player Quake3 mod, based on the gameplay
found in the old arcade game, SmashTV!

This first version contains ten maps, three thumpin' tunes, and what I hope are a few
hours of fun for everyone that plays it.

All the info can be found at http://www.whatthehal.com/smash

Nice work, Hal!
Are those models (Doom) just normal Q3A models? Or are they scaled down and less detailed?

Plain old regular Quake3 models. I wanted to have 10-12 bots in there per level, but the CPU overhead for that many is insane.

One of the items on my "see if I can do it" list is to dumb down the bots so they don't attack each other, but rather, just attack the player. This would simplify their CPU time and hence I could throw a bunch more in.
