two years ago, or maybe three years ago(?) that I first started coming here. I remember some post by some korbandallas character trying to start up a clan fight, and maybe a joystick tweaking party or something. Didn't a certain lovable BiTcH get banned due to a colorful reply in that thread?

Another thread I remember was about synapses, triggers and mouse buttons. I think that one was the first time I conversed with jondster and Cyborg and others.

Has it been that long ago?

What a long strange trip it's been

I'd just like to reintroduce myself to new people here...

Hi, my name is outrider and I'm a quakeholic.

they let anybody play quake these days...

back in my day, it was a real game!! if you got killed you were shocked with 100,000,000 volts, and all you could use was a chain saw!

Hi everyone. Nice to meetcha Parsout. Gotta go for now, I am building a new system and the mobo hates the sblive. I'm talking irq hell here. Do I really need the SB16 Emulation if I only play Q3 with a sprinkling of UT once in a while? Anyone?

Also, (I'm not question shy ) Can you run a single udma 66 hd on an onboard raid controller to get the benefits of the udma 66? I hate to enable that thing and install the software for no reason if I can't. It's a BE6 II with an onboard HPT370 RAID controller. I figure if I can use it with just one hd, all will be well and maybe one day I may get a second hd and dabble with the RAID just to see how it works.

Anyways, nice to see ya'll

Outie - I ran into the same problem with a BE6 II & Sound Blaster Live. Baloney advised me to upgrade the SB Live software, (Liveware) to the latest version from the Creative website and it fixed everything. Try it.

BTW You should have no problem running that single HD @ ATA 66.

SB 16 Emulation is for older compatiblity. You need it if you want to use sound in DOS games.
