I'll start posting here more often IF some of you other guys do.
I haven't been posting much anywhere because NOTHING much interests me. I like talking about the game, I like talking about the equipment it runs on. Side issues are pretty subjective but I jump in where I see a need to make a point or good-naturedly flame somebody (or myself).
C'MON !!!

Okay . . . something about either the game or the equipment it runs on. . . hmmmmmm?
Jond, do you have any suggestions regarding a third party cooling unit. I don't know whether I want to go with a prefab air cooling unit, or fabricate something myself. Can you tell that I'm itching to overclock

I'm only posting from work these days, since I'm wihtout a connection from home at the time...and since work is pretty busy, it's limited how much time I can spend on the boards.. The harddisk on one of my computers took a dump last week...I really hope I'll be able to extract something useful from it, since I had a lot of stuff on it that I want to keep... Other than that...I installed Requiem yesterday...it's a fps game that reminds me of Half-Life...You are an angel sent to earth to.... (something...can't remember ) Anyone tried it?

I didn't mean ONLY that stuff ... but look at the Blue Board. It's gotten WAY OFF track.
Warp ~ I'd suggest you take a look at overclockershideout.com These guys a freakin' fanatics at cooling systems. I've used their HS/fan combos on several units with success (I'm currently using a Golden Orb on my T-Bird 800 and find it about equal) . It's one of the few places you can find copper thermal grease which is far superior to the silicon based stuff commonly used. Check out their Peltier/ water cooled heat exchanger unit.
My 800 isn't overclocked as the TNT2 Ultra was bottlenecking with my P3 550, OC'd or not.

Thanks for the info Jond. The bottlenecking may have been the result of a slow ram bus. I use pc133 with my Geforce DDR, and it runs great. Albeit I do have a 667 Coppermine, not oc'd (yet) running a 133MHz fsb

Hmmm .... let me clarify.
I was using my TNT2-U on my P3 550/618 but then switched the MB/Processor to a T-Bird 800 (keeping the vid card).
Regardless of which processor used, the TNT2-U would max out at about 36 FPS in Q3 Demo (1024X768, 32 bit/high/32 bit). This obviously leads me to believe that I'm STILL gonna get only 36 FPS or so, even if I was using a 1.1G processor. (Like, time for a GeForce2, dummie). Hence, OC'ing either here is pissing into the wind.
WTF ?? I'm on dial-up anyways ...

jondster I feel your pain and frustration in life. I can understand your harsh feelings about what I do, because you were not treated as well as you should have. Your silly moronic comments are just to make you superficially happy, but not truely happy. Anyways, I hope that you see better days, and live a long life, which I bet seems by this time an eternity. Best of wishes, and I am glad to see that you came back. Your rat asses are in the mail.

GFKiller, I don't know much about you, and you confuse me with all of your usernames here, but I hope that you get everything just right in your life also.

Jond - I must have been seeing things, I for some reason thought that you had a Geforce or something. But I need to clarify something too, I was talking about the RAM that you're using, is it PC100 of PC133. Anyway it's a moot point since my next suggestion would have been to get a Geforce2 Games aren't all processor and GPU you know. . .
The rest of the bunch - I think that you all need to take a time out in the corner.
