Tom Sawyer
Red barchetta
Yyz
Limelight
The camera eye
Witch hunt
Vital signs

Haven't had an album I really like ever since. This music could be relevant in the year 2020 and beyond. Why does music suck today? WTF happened?

Music doesnt suck today, dont watch MTV or listen to the radio and think thats what todays music is like. Also try to broaden your tastes, listen to new stuff you have never heard of. In the last 3 years or so I have really gotten into electronic music

Well, I'd just go searching for a few shoutcast stations, streaming mp3. That's how I heard of Paul OakenFold and stuff.

The other thing you could do, besides asking RB (I've found he generally has great taste in electronica) is to browse Mp3.com to find your liking (There are many, many subsets of electronica)

Of the top of my head, I'd say Paul Oakenfold, and if you like weird music, AphexTwin

Also, if you like guitars, then pick of Engines of Creation by Joe Satriani. It's a kickass blending of electric guitars with techno.

Thanks Scoob! I guess I have just lost my passion for music. I listened to Rush today and thought about how music would be today if the progressive rock scene had kicked off. Rush had this future kinda sound and made a few great albums. I guess I miss the talent also. Ever seen Neil Pert play a set? Can you say GOD?

yea, what the scoobster said, music doesnt suck, you just have to dig past all the mainstreem shit that is out there right now. trance rocks the house, paul oakenfold is by far my favorite dj, has been since i first heard a mix of his back in the day. shout cast has some really good techno stations on it. and if you really like stuff like the greatful dead, then listen to phish or dave matthews.

there i lots of great stuff out there, its just hard to find.

I think todays music (the stuff I listen to) is better than ever.

Cyberg go here for tons of great music http://www.q3arena.com/resources/UltimateBB/ubb/Forum5/HTML/004420.html enjoyed by the people that post here.

I liked a few Rush tunes back in the 80's but none of them are on Moving Pictures. As far as old music, I never listen to Rush anymore (his voice hurts my cat's ears) but I do occasionally listen like Zepplin & Pink Floyd.
