I have a question about monitors. Which is better an flat Aperture Grill CRT or a Flat CRT with a .24 or .22 horizontal dot pitch.
My understanding is that an an aperture grill monitor, although limited to .25dp, is better because each CRT dot is perfectly square. I just want to get the best that I can. Without making my dad broke in the process. (It's a birthday gift but he wants me to get the monitor I'm happy with.)

Just another note, the monitor I'm thinking of getting is an NEC FE750. It's pretty sweet.

look at the refresh rates at the highest res. if your into 17" i bought a viewsonic e771.. the higher the refresh, the less eyestrain.. its why some just never drop that much in price.... also get the one with the biggest viewable size...i.e. my 17" = 16.0 instead of 15.8 or whatever falls in that class...
