w'sup fellas
just recently on my dad's comp, the sound for quake 3 has taken a bad turn

it sounds echoey. almost as though i'm hearing the sound from far away.

the most recent programs installed on the computer were vlc (a media player) and mozilla firefox. i have uninstalled them.

it isn't the game itself because i pulled another install of q3 from a different machine and i experience the same problems. I don't have any sound issues when listening to mp3's or other stuff.

my dad has an msi ksumpthin mobo. i just got done updating the onboard stuff from their website.

i also tried reinstallin the 1.32 patch.
any ideas?

Go to MSI's website. Download the latest sound drivers for the motherboard and upgrade. Try after that.

Try turning down Sound detail.. Just a poke at the picket.
