I downloaded the most recent Western Quake Mod, and it says I need to create a shortcut to get it to start (something about hunkmegs) but it doesn't say how. I'm on an iMac btw. Anybody know how to do this?

Try just starting Q3 then from the main menu choose Mods and see if it's there.

It's listed in the mods menu, but when I try to start it, the screen flashes a few times and then the whole application quits.

rightclick the quake3.exe

copy

right click again somewhere on your desktop

paste shortcut

right click your shortcut

oh waita minute, your on a mac

Check this thread out on the wq3 board. Thought it might help. They say you shoucl be able to just join a wq3 server the mod will kick in. Maybe try from the in-game browser, all-seeing eye, or xfire. You can try my server if you need - 207.179.110.176:27960
