OK, I've just looked through every page I could find on this site and found nothing that helps, so my question is this:
Why don't games I'm hosting appear in the server browser in Quake 3?
I have set up port-forwarding for ports 27960 and 27965 (I saw that the "sending heartbeat" message said it used 27965)
If it's sending a heartbeat to master0.idsoftware.com surely the point of this is to add your server to the list? I'm baffled... If anyone has any idea how to get games to appear on this list I'd be extremely grateful as I'm starting to get a wee bit frustrated
thanks

sometimes it may take a couple of hours before it shows up in the game browser... try to find your server with a game server browser like all seeing eye or gamespy. And if there is no one on the server itself, it woujld take even longer than that.

Thanks, I did wonder if the server needed to be live for a while before it would come up, but having left a game running all night it still didn't list it the following morning... will try again
cheers
