Don't forget to back up My Documents. That's always what I forget.

My documents also stores browser cookies and stuff like that as hidden files, right?

I just have not found the energy to do the reformat. Damn, backingup is such a hassle if you haven't got everything neatly organised to begin with.

That's why I keep a smaller drive installed just for constant backup purposes. I use Second Copy and have it constantly monitor and backup files I do not want to lose or have to replace. Address book, *.dbx mail box files, Favorites, My Documents, and all data related to what bit of work I do from home. These files all backup to my second drive which is all it's used for. Then in the event of OS failure or just wanting to format, I already have everything I need backed up.

I'm thinking of burning a backup of all my important stuff. I should have some spare time this weekend.
