I really do suspect that it has been a function of a mod, since I'm not avare of a console command that would display stats in vanilla q3a.

my friend suggested it was a command that resulted from Team Arena or something else. it may have been but i'm not sure that i had any mods installed when i first discovered it. i probably did and i'm just forgetting.
maybe it would help if i were to see some of the commands used to check accuracy and so on, and i could point out the one i'm thinking of, and it can more than likely be traced back to a mod.

That was I was thinking, grumpy. Sounds like some sort of server-side mod. You don't have to download anything but when you connect to a server running that mod, it'll show your accuracy scores.
Not sure which mod it could be, though.

it wasn't any particular server side mod, as i could use the command at any given time... even playing single player.
