i downloaded quake 3 and it works fine. I downloaded urban terror beta 2.0 and it tries to open but goes back to dos and says using interface 6, expecting version 3... any solutions... what exactly is urban terror. The extra levels available for download, i can't get those to work. I don't know much about computers so please, someone help. I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You downloaded quake 3? hrm...

As for getting urban terror to work, make sure you have the newest patch for q3 http://www.idsoftware.com/archives/quake3arc.html Everything from urban terror should be in a folder named q3ut under your Quake III arena folder (including any map pak files). Other than that I can't think of what else might be causing you problems. If you STILL can't get it to work, try downloading the windows install proggy for ut. Hope this helps.
